We took a trip to the homesite to see what (if any) work had been completed. (Mental note: do not let 2-year-old into house until walls and doors are installed.) This time, I tried to take better stills with my video camera so that I could easily transfer them to the website.

The roof is on, the facing boards are installed, the wiring is ready -- next step: vinyl siding. |
3/4 view -- you can see how the garage is set away from the rest of the house. |
Looking up at the back bedroom's windows that face the woods. |
A deck will be built on this corner of the house just off the sliding glass door that leads to the morning room. |
All of the morning room windows have been installed and the roof is complete. |
On this side of the house is the master bedroom and the dining room windows. |
Standing next to the front door in the foyer, you can see the morning room windows in the back and the stairs. |
Another shot of the foyer from a different angle (inside the living room.) |
The front living room with insulation installed. |
A shot of the family room from the kitchen -- you can see the morning room off to the right. |
Standing in the far corner of the family room, the kitchen and the morning room seem distant. |
Another view of the kitchen from the left-side of the family room. |
Here, you can see the low counter that separates kitchen and the morning room. |
A view from the back corner of the morning room of the woods behind the house. |

Standing upstairs looking into the foyer... |
A shot of of the master bedroom. |
Here's the master bedroom's walk-in closet. I thought it was kinda funny that they put a heat duct in the closet. |
The master bath will have two basin sinks when it's finished. |
This is the smallest bedroom and will more than likely be turned into a spare room. |
Standing in the hallway looking into the second (and smaller) bathroom. |
The front bedroom standing in the hallway. The outside pane of the left window is shattered and will need to be replaced. |
The back bedroom from the hallway with it's two windows that face the woods. I just love that corner! |
Here's a shot of the garage from the foyer -- there are two windows on the right. |
This stack of boxes contain all of the vinyl siding which (hopefully) will be install soon. |
From the kitchen, the basement steps lead down into the dark abyss. Actually, it's no longer filled with water so it doesn't look like a cave. |
Standing at the base of the steps, you can see thata there is much poteniall here for an entertainment room. |
This corner of the basement will more than likely be my office because it already has most of the walls completed. |
The washer and dryer hookups are on their own stud-wall. I'm not sure whether or not they'll install drywall. |
This shot was taken from the far back corner of the basement (next to the washer and dryer hookups) so that you can see the space. |
This bundle of wires is distributed to each of the four bedrooms. Each room has two CAT5e cables -- one for phone and one for network. My friends and I installed this ourselves to avoid the huge bill that the electrition would have dumped on me. |
This conduit runs from the attic to the basement and made it simple to install all of the network cabling. In the future, I hope to run cable (RG6) to one of the other bedrooms. |
