I'm old enough to remember when MTV actually played music videos, when arcade games only cost a quarter, and the Atari 800xl.

about this website: More than anything, this website is a chance for me to learn and excercise web-programming skills. The site is built using Apache (mod_perl) and a nifty templating / embedding tool called HTML::Mason.

If you're unfamiliar with the term "blog", it's short for "weblog". Blogs take many forms from link filters to personal diaries; In this case, it's an easy way to display topical articles.

Curious about the engine behind it all? It's a home-grown database driven content management system with a modest interface. It also has a "beta" keyword search feature so that I can easily mark keywords in text using specialized tags. I add more to it when I get the time and it's always evolving towards...well...towards something.
